Time Flies...

 The infamous hair twirler
Addie's outfit of choice about 90% of the time. Actually, she's been lowriding her underwear too and seeing if she can get away with being totally naked.
This pic reminds me of her grimace smile days...she may need therapy later on in life because of me posting this

Wyatt loves the four wheeler and drives it by himself already, not super great at steering

Addie stole Wyatts pj bottoms and decided to ride him
 "stop touching me"
I don't know how it happens but months keep passing me by. I have had so many funny things Addie says and does and I kick myself when I don't write them down.  Addie has been kind of a stinker lately. I think she is at her most naughty when she is tired/hungry/needs attention. Wyatt has also been a bit of a stinker and I think it is when he is not being held...makes for some long days.  But they are so fun and so cute and so hilarious together it makes it worth it.  Wyatt loves crawling but doesn't have his knees touch the ground- it looks exhausting but he must have a strong core. He is standing while holding on to things and the other day I went upstairs to get something and Addie followed me so Wyatt starting crying and I could hear him getting closing.  I looked and he had crawled all the way up the stairs! It kind of put me in panic mode, but at the same time I was pretty proud of that little boy and very glad he didn't tumble down them. I think he will be walking before he is one.  Addie has been doing puzzles on the iPad and she is getting pretty good at them. I can't believe how much of a kid she is. Oh, and she has always loved to twirl her hair, only nowadays it is long enough she can twirl it into a know around her finger...and then rip it out by the roots.  I was putting her hair in a couple of pig tails for church and noticed two fairly large bald spots, awesome. She may just have short pixie hair for her whole life.

Guess its time to vacuum more...

I think it may be time for a haircut, sigh.
Addie twirls her hair around her finger and pulls it out by the roots...urg. And Taisyn has a permanent mischievous look on his face- those two are partners in crime.

Addie can open Wyatt's door and climb in his crib, sometimes this is good and sometimes this is bad.
I can't tell who Wyatt reminds me of here but isn't he adorable? Addie is cheesing it.
Addie still loves riding Brownie, bareback and bare bum.

So as of Friday, Wyatt is crawling. Chops took a sucker and was trying to entice him to crawl to him and it worked. Wyatt is loving being able to move around and bug Addie more freely. He actually is still in the crawl a few steps and then play mode, but he has gone long distance mode a few times. He loves trying to pull himself up on things so I think that standing will be his next challenge. He is loving food and getting better at chewing stuff even though there are still no teeth in sight. He likes food so much that I get worried that he will stop nursing too early but then he reassures me that he still likes nursing by waking up a couple of times a night...what a sweetie. One of these days I'll buckle down and make him sleep through the night but he is growing so dang fast that right now I try and cherish the moments that I can snuggle him in my arms, even if I am half awake.
Addie is still being a mostly good big sister. She has been saying the funniest prayers. She blesses every item on her plate at dinner and will often be thankful for mom helping Buddy, Addie helping Buddy, Daddy helping Buddy and Buddy helping Buddy...she cracks me up more times a day than I can count. We are seriously considering finding a new home for Rocky, who for some reason periodically pees in the house, and she keeps saying, "I guess we'll have to find Rocky a new home..." The way she says it is so funny, although it does make me sad. She really does love those doggies and they are so good with both the kids.

Moving and Grooving

Wyatt still mostly doesn't like being on his tummy, but he is planning on crawling very soon any ways. He scoots around while in a mostly seated position. Today while I was making dinner he was pushing himself backwards on the wood floor. It's going to be any day now that he is up and mobile. So together, Addie and Wyatt are going to give me a work out. Addie got into my wallet the other day and took out my checks and gave them to Wyatt to chew on, which he willingly obliged. He loves to put stuff in his mouth and really thinks he should be eating everything that we are. He loves the rice biscuits and being able to feed himself and drink from a big boy cup. Still no teeth though. Addie has been saying the funniest things. She calls Wyatt Buddy which is just about the cutest thing ever. "Where's Buddy?" "Is Buddy asleep" "Nooooo Buddy" etc. She has also been dancing and singing, "shake your booty" There are more but I can't think of them right now.

SNOW!!!

Chops has been anxiously awaiting the arrival of snow so that he can go snowmobiling. It has been such a mild winter. I can't say it hasn't been nice to teach in 50 degree weather but it was a bit of a bummer to have no snow for Christmas. We finally got a nice storm and Addie and Dad had a blast playing, riding the 3 wheeler and making a snowman. We are hoping to take her this Saturday to go snowmobiling. Chops went with Devin last weekend and Devin had a blast.

I'm really not tired..

If only they would nap at the same time :)
Dad was watching the kids and I came home to this...seriously my Dad and uncle Rich have the magic touch...
Slightly scary place to fall asleep

So Addie has champion sleeper moments and sometimes not. She really was a great napper until we got rid of the binky and then it was a struggle and now naps are sometimes good and sometimes I feel like I need a nap so I have the energy to get her to nap. There are days that I just can't get the nap to happen. Often, it gets quiet so I go off to find if she a) fell asleep somewhere funny or b) has gotten herself into an epic mess. I always prefer a :)
One of these days we'll get back into a routine...

6 Months!

This is his face about 90% of tummy time...but he's getting better!

Our little Wyatt is 6 months old already. I can't believe how the time has flown by. I have to say that our little boy has been pretty cute and pretty exhausting. He has been a bit more demanding than his older sister but he has also been so dang smiley that he wraps you around his finger. He know what he wants and he lets you know. He has got a very impressive set of lungs but seriously the cutest, goofiest smile that it balances out. He is actually starting to feel pretty good most of the time so the last little while has been so awesome.
At his check up he was in the 30% for weight and 25% for height and 10% for head (but they didn't add the hair when they were measuring) He is sitting up really well (except for when he totally face plants) and loves to grab his toes. He is so close to rolling over but not quite there. He still doesn't like tummy time, unless he is preoccupied or in the bath. He is always content to splash and kick on his tummy in the bath tub. He is practicing being a boy already; when he picks something up he almost always throws it. My favorite thing is when he sees his sister and giggles. She doesn't have to do anything, he just loves her so much. She actually usually freaks him out when she does try to make him laugh cuz she cackles like a hyena or makes some other shrill noise. He loves to be wherever she is and grabs her hair, toys, food. She is pretty good with him although she hasn't been pulling her share in feeding him. I make up some oatmeal and fruit puree and she says "mom, you're making me choke" I think it must be the texture, but it is hilarious every time. She also always tell him he can do things when he gets bigger and of course, he is excited for that.

Christmas and such

Wyatt has started eating big boy food and he loves it.
Child model
I wanted to get a pic of both kids in PJs Christmas morning but instead I have this

Donald Trump combover

Wow, Christmas has come and gone. I thought that it would be a nice relaxing break and maybe I could get some sleep but Chops decided to redo the kitchen and the kids were sick and ... by the time the break was over I needed a break from the break. I still don't have any pics of the new kitchen but I need to take some. Chops did a really nice job and now Addie has access to basically the whole countertop (sink and stove included) since she has turned into a climbing pro.
Christmas is so fun with kids. Addie still opens presents slowly and kind of takes it in. She was really excited for the baby stroller and doll she got from Grandma Fran. Wyatt was excited for the baby, it was so cute watching him. I love the feeling of Christmas and always get kind of a let down when its over. It was an especially sad Christmas for Chops since we had no snow and still haven't had a storm. Its been a lame year for snowmobiling but I can't lie that it was pretty nice to teach lessons in 50 degree weather in January.
