Adrienne Rose Dawson
So now that I have figured out how to post pictures again, I figure I better update the blog a bit. Adrienne Rose Dawson was born September 30, 2009 at 8:45 pm at the AF hospital. Her daddy was a great coach and even cut the umbilical cord. She weighed a whopping 8 lbs 7 oz (which isn't huge to all those who've had babies bigger than that but I was expecting maybe 6 1/2 lbs) and was 20 1/2 inches long. She was really enjoying the belly experience and I was induced after she decided to stay in a week longer. It was kind of weird driving to the hospital knowing that I was getting induced- I always pictured waking up in the middle of the night and rushing to the hospital.
I really love just snuggling my baby girl. Dad slept more the first few nights at the hospital than I did- I just kept holding my baby. What a miracle. She was a great eater from the start and her figure reflects that. She is super chubby. All the stories about making sure you clean the rolls are true- she would start smelling and I would find a roll that I didn't even know about. She was pretty fussy the first few months, which was an interesting experience. She is feeling a lot better know and it is so fun to see her smile and reach for things and laugh. She can already roll over and hold her head up and look at things. She likes watching her dogs play and loves it when Dad tickles her. She is a cutie pie.
